National Overseas Scholarship for Minority community students 2024-25. Karnataka government which is operating under the Department of Minority Welfare has started an online application for the student of Karnataka and studying abroad for the academic year 2023 – 2024.
The Government of Karnataka’s Department of Minority Welfare, Directorate of Minorities has issued a notification for the online application for the students of minority community which includes both boys and girls of the six notified minority community. The minority community which are eligible for these scholarships are Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Jain, Buddhists and Parsi. This scholarship covers the cost of tuition fees, living expenses and one side airfare. These scholarship applications are open to those candidates who are pursuing a master course at overseas universities in the academic year 2023-24. The ranking of the universities must come under Top 500 universities.

Eligibility criteria for National Overseas Scholarship for Minority Community 2023-24

  • Applicant must be a resident of Karnataka state and must have domicile certificate of the state of Karnataka.
  • Candidate must belong to 6 notified minority communities which include Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Jain, Buddhist and Parsi.
  • The annual family income from all the sources should not exceed Rs 15 lakhs.
  • The age of the candidate should not be more than 38 years.
  • The course of study must be a full time master’s program at an overseas universities and the rank of the university must come under top 500 University.
  • The marks scored in the last degree should be at least 60% or its equivalent grade.
  • The ranking of the university must come under top 500 universities.

Required Documents to apply for National Overseas Scholarships for Minority Students

Applicants are required to keep the following documents which applying for National Overseas Scholarships for minority students.

  1. Adhar Card.
  2. Passport Size Photograph.
  3. Verification form by the Institute.
  4. Minority community certificate.
  5. Proof of bank account of the candidate.
  6. Self-Declaration of the income certificate.
  7. Domicile certificate.

Benefits of National Overseas Scholarship for Minority community

The candidate will receive and annual scholarship of upto Rs 10 lakh with a maximum allowance of 20 lakhs for the complete duration of the course. If your annual income is less than 6 lakhs, then you will receive scholarship upto 20 lakhs and if your annual income is between 6 to 15 lakhs then the disbursed amount will be upto 10 lakhs only as per your tuition fees.
