Ayush Scholarship Scheme

The AYUSH Scholarship Scheme 2025–26 is an initiative by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). It aims to promote traditional Indian systems of medicine by offering scholarships to foreign nationals for undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. courses in Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) disciplines at recognized Indian institutions. Selected applicants will receive a monthly stipend of up to ₹43,500 along with other benefits such as airfare and health insurance to help cover the costs of their education in India.

Eligibility Criteria for AYUSH Scholarship Scheme 2025–26

To be eligible for Scholarship an AYUSH Scholarship Scheme applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years of age as of 1st July 2025 for UG Courses and maximum age limit for Ph.D courses is 50 years.
  • Applicants must have finished 12 years of schooling with subjects physics, chemistry, and biology for a bachelor’s degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, Siddha Medicine and Surgery, Unani Medicine and Surgery, or Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery
  • Applicants must have finished 12 years of schooling for a B.Sc. in Yoga and a B.A. in Yoga Shastra.
  • Applicants hold a respective bachelor’s degree recognised by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) for a Master’s degree in Ayurveda, Siddha, and Unani OR
  • Applicants must hold a respective bachelor’s degree recognised by the Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH) for a Master’s degree in Homoeopathy OR
  • Applicants must hold a respective Master’s degree recognised by CCIM for a Ph.D. degree in Ayurveda and Unani
  • Applicants must be proefficient in English ,as courses are conducted in English and/or Hindi.
  • Applicants must be medically fit to pursue the course

Benefits of AYUSH Scholarship Scheme 2025–26

The selected applicants will recieve up to Rs 43,500 depending on the course level

  • For Ug Students :A monthly stipend of ₹18,000 for undergraduate degree students
  • For First year master’s degree :A monthly stipend of ₹35,000 for first-year master’s degree students
  • For 3rd year Master’s degree:A monthly stipend of ₹38,000 for second and third-year master’s degree students
  • For Ph.D. Students:A monthly stipend of ₹43,500 for Ph.D. degree students

Application Process for AYUSH Scholarship Scheme

  • Click on the Apply Now‘ button.
  • Login to Buddy4Study with your registered ID and land on the ‘Application Form Page.’If not registered, register at Buddy4Study with your Email/Mobile/Google account.
  • You will now be redirected to the ‘AYUSH Scholarship Program’ application form page.
  • Click ‘Apply Now’ at the bottom of the page and register to start the application
  • Confirm the registration through the email sent by Vidhyadhan.
  • Log in using the registered email ID and password.
  • Fill in the required information and click ‘Submit’ (Note:- If the applicant is already registered, log in with valid credentials.)
  • Navigate to the bottom of the page to log in with valid credentials.
  • Select the ‘Yes’ option for ‘Are you an applicant?’, then select ‘Ayush Scholarship Scheme’ and ‘2025-26’ from their respective drop-down options.
  •  Enter the captcha and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
