Clothing Vocabulary

SHIRT [ʃɜːrt]: A clothing piece worn on the upper torso, usually with sleeves and collar.

T-SHIRT [tiːʃɜːrt] – A short-sleeved casual top, typically made of cotton, with no collar.

Chic
meaning– Elegantly and stylishly fashionable.
sentence-She looked chic in her metallic golden gown with a pearl necklace & Tiara.

Eclectic
meaning– combines different influences, patterns, colors, or eras uniquely and unconventionally.
sentence-She walked into the room wearing an eclectic outfit—a vintage leather jacket, a floral boho dress, and neon sneakers, effortlessly mixing styles from different decades.

Iconic
meaning– the style that is widely recognized, highly influential, and timelessly fashionable.
Sentence- The little black dress is an iconic piece in fashion history.

Monochrome
meaning– consists of one color or shades of one color
sentence-he opted for a monochrome outfit in all black.

Tailored
meaning– (of clothes) smart, fitted, and well-cut
sentence-She wore a tailored suit to the party.
