To be eligible for Indian Oil Educational Scholarship an applicant must:
- Applicant must be enrolled in Schools / Colleges / Institutions recognized by MCI / AICTE / State Education Boards/State Technical Education Boards / ICSE / ISC / CBSE.
- Family’s annual income should not exceed the specified limit (usually around INR 1,00,000 to INR 2,00,000).
- Applicant must be enrolled in a full time regular course
- Applicant must have scored a minimum of 65% marks in previous class (for General Category Students)and must have scored minimum of 55% in the preceeding class (for SC/ST/OBC/Girls) and minimum 50% marks (For Pwd candidates)
- Age limit of the candidates must be between 15 to 30 years. Age relaxation up to 3 years for OBC candidates, for 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) is permissible
- Children of IOCL employees, its joint ventures, subsidiary companies, and consultants managing the scheme are not eligible.
Note: Preference will be given to candidates whose Gross Joint family annual income is below INR 60,000
