JN Tata Endowment for Higher Education 2025-26 The JN Tata Endowment Loan Scholarship 2025–26 offers financial assistance to Indian students pursuing postgraduate, Ph.D., or postdoctoral studies abroad. Established in 1892 by Jamsetji Nusserwanjee Tata, this merit-based loan scholarship supports students across all disciplines. J N Tata Endowment for Higher Education has awarded loan scholarships to more than 5700 Indian students, drawn from all over India. The Endowment supports only higher studies overseas – Master’s, Ph.D., Post – doctoral fellowships, across all education streams. Based only on Merit, it seeks to recognise and award, “the best and most gifted so as to make them of the greatest service to the country”.

To be eligible for JN Tata Endowment for higher education scholarship an applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Students from PAN India can apply for this scholarship
  • The applicant must not be older than 45 years as of June 30, 2025
  • The applicant must have scored minimum 60% marks in undergraduate or postgraduate studies from a recognized Indian university
  • The applicant must be admitted to a full-time postgraduate, Ph.D., or postdoctoral program at a recognized overseas university
