Eligibility Criteria for Muskaan Scholarship Program

To be eligible for Muskaan Scholarship Program the applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • The applicant must be enrolled in Classes 9 to 12 during the current academic year .
  • The applicant must have scored at least 60% in the previous year’s exams .
  • The applicant is eligible only if:
    The parent (father or mother) is a commercial driver (valid LMV/HMV/AWT/ARTW license), or
    The parent is a mechanic, or
    The family falls under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), with annual income not exceeding ₹8 lakh .
  • The Applicant must belong to India’s southern, eastern, or north-eastern states (e.g., Assam, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Kerala, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, etc.)

    Note: Children of employees of Valvoline Cummins Pvt Ltd (VCPL) or their implementing partners are not eligible .
    Only current Class 9–12 students are allowed; those in diploma courses or who passed Class 12 earlier cannot apply .
