General Nature Terms
ECOSYSTEM – A community of living organisms interacting with their environment.
BIODIVERSITY – The variety of life in a particular habitat or ecosystem.
FLORA – Plant life in a particular region.
FAUNA – Animal life in a particular region.
HABITAT – The natural home or environment of an organism.
BIOME – A large ecological area with distinct climate, flora, and fauna (e.g., rainforest, desert).
WILDERNESS – An uncultivated, uninhabited, and undisturbed natural area.
LANDSCAPE – The visible features of an area of land.

Plants and Trees
CANOPY – The upper layer of trees in a forest.

SOLAR ECLIPSE – When the moon passes between the sun and Earth, blocking the sun.
LUNAR ECLIPSE – When the Earth passes between the sun and the moon, casting a shadow on the moon.
AURORA BOREALIS – The Northern Lights, a natural light display in the Arctic.
AURORA AUSTRALIS – The Southern Lights, a natural light display in the Antarctic.
