Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana

Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana was started by “Women, Child Development and Social Security Department, Government of Jharkhand”. This scheme was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren. The objective of Kishori Samriddhi Yojana is to establish Savitribai in the entire Jharkhand state to remove the negative thinking on the birth of daughters in the society, social evils like female feticide, child marriage, reduction in the sex ratio of girls and weak status of girl’s education. Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana approved.

Objectives

  • Women empowerment
  • Emphasis on girl education
  • End of child marriage system
  • By supporting the educational expenses of girls of higher classes, to reduce their tendency to drop out of school and to encourage them for higher education.
  • Assistance for health and personal hygiene of adolescent girls.
  • To enable adolescent girls to take independent decisions regarding their lives.

Eligibility Criteria & Amount of Scholarship

Under this scheme, the following types of financial assistance will be provided to the girl:

  • Girls enrolled in class 8
  • Girls enrolled in class 9
  • Girls enrolled in class 10
  • Girls enrolled in class 11
  • Girls enrolled in class 12
  • Lump sum grant to girls aged 18-19 years
  • रु० 2,500/-
  • रु० 2,500/-
  • रु० 5,000/-
  • रु० 5,000/-
  • रु० 5,000/-
  • रु० 20,000/-

Application Process

The application will be submitted in the prescribed form along with necessary certificates in the office of the Child Development Project Officer under his area. It will be mandatory to attach self-attested photocopies of ration card, Aadhar card, voter ID card, bank passbook etc.
