The Legislative Assistants to Members of Parliament (LAMP) Fellowship, initiated by PRS Legislative Research, offers a unique opportunity for young Indians to delve into the intricacies of India’s legislative processes. Through this fellowship, participants work closely with Members of Parliament (MPs), gaining hands-on experience in policymaking, legislative research, and national-level decision-making. 

Eligibility Criteria for LAMP Fellowship 2025

To apply for the LAMP Fellowship 2025-26, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Age: Must be 25 years or younger (born on or after June 1, 1998).
  • Education: Possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in any academic discipline. Final-year students are also eligible.
  • Citizenship: Only Indian citizens are eligible. 

Benefits for LAMP Fellowship

Fellows selected for the LAMP Fellowship 2025-26 will receive:

  • Monthly Stipend: ₹23,000. Statutory deductions apply as per applicable laws.
  • Training: A comprehensive one-month training program in June 2025.
  • Exposure: Direct engagement with MPs, providing insights into the legislative process.
  • Workshops: Participation in policy workshops and field visits during parliamentary recesses. 

Duration and Commencement of Fellowship.

  • Program Duration: Approximately 10-11 months, aligning with the Monsoon and Budget sessions of Parliament.
  • Start Date: Mid-June 2025, following a one-month training period.
  • End Date: End of the Budget session in 2026
