Family Members
Mother – Your female parent.
Father – Your male parent.
Parents – Your mother and father.
Brother – A male sibling.
Sister – A female sibling.
Son – A male child.
Daughter – A female child.
Husband – A male spouse.
Grandmother – Your mother’s or father’s mother
Grandfather – Your mother’s or father’s father.

Grandparents – Your grandmother and grandfather.
Uncle -Your brother’s or sister’s husband, or your mother’s or father’s brother.
Aunt -Your brother’s or sister’s wife, or your mother’s or father’s sister.
Cousin – The child of your aunt or uncle.
Nephew – Your brother’s or sister’s son.
Niece – Your brother’s or sister’s daughter.
Mother-in-law – Your spouse’s mother.
Brother-in-law – Your spouse’s brother or your sibling’s husband.
Sister-in-law – Your spouse’s sister or your sibling’s wife.
Stepfather – Your mother’s new husband (after she remarries).

Stepmother – Your father’s new wife (after he remarries).
Stepbrother – Your stepfather’s or stepmother’s son.
Stepsister – Your stepfather’s or stepmother’s daughter.
Half-brother – A brother who shares one biological parent with you.
Half-sister – A sister who shares one biological parent with you.
Extended Family – A family that includes other relatives, such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Close-knit Family – A family that is very close and has strong relationships.
Dysfunctional Family – A family with unhealthy relationships or problems.
Family Tree – A diagram that shows the relationships within a family.
Caregiver – A person who looks after someone, often used for parents taking care of their children or elderly family members.

Provide – The person who financially supports the family.
Guardian – A person legally responsible for someone, such as a child.
Breadwinner – The person who earns the money to support the family.
Supportive – Someone who helps others emotionally or physically.
Friends Vocabulary
Best Friend – A close, most trusted friend.
Close Friend – A friend you have a strong bond with.
Friend – Someone you know and like, but not as close as a best friend.
Confidant – A close friend to whom you can share your secrets.

Neighbour – Someone who lives near you.
Roommate – A person you share a living space with.
Classmate – A person who is in the same class or school as you.
Buddy – Informal term for a friend or companion.
Mate – A casual term for a friend, commonly used in British English.
Partner – A person with whom you share a romantic or professional relationship.
Long-time Friend – A friend you’ve known for many years.
New Friend – A friend you’ve recently made.
True Friend – A reliable and trustworthy friend.
Friendship – A relationship between two people based on mutual affection and trust.
Bond – A strong connection or relationship between friends.
